Open Kazaa by clicking on the Kazaa Icon or by selecting Kazaa from the start menu.

Windows XP




Select Options from the Tools menu.


First Select the Traffic tab and change the maximum number of uploads from Unlimited to 1.


Next select the Advanced tab and change the maximum bandwidth to 32 or lower.
Also check the box labled "Do not fuction as a Supernode (which allows Kazaa to store a list of other users shared files on your computer),
and uncheck the Optimal bandwith box.


Now select the Filter tab. Here you can filter objectional material, potential viruses, and keywords such as "Plane Ticket" and "Tunisia" or whatever.


On the Firewall tab uncheck Use port 80 as this basically turns your computer into a web server.


On the messages tab you may want to check the ignore box.
This will keep other Kazaa users from contacting you when they want to "cyber".
Don't forget to click the Apply button on the lower right.
